Widex Hearing Aids – Features

Today, I’m talking about the Widex Moment hearing aids.  They’re available in two different styles, custom molded to fit inside the ear and also receiver in canal or RIC devices that sit behind the ear.

#1 – Widex PureSound

Widex PureSound uses ZeroDelay technology – an ultrafast sound processing of less than 0.5 milliseconds.  This allows for superior sound quality for open fit hearing aid users.

#2 – True Input Technology

This feature allows the hearing aid to accept a higher sound input level, so a wider dynamic range of sound can enter the hearing aid for processing. This results in more natural sounding music.  The Widex Moment hearing aid also has a music program option.

#3 – Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Widex Moment hearing aids use Artificial Intelligence to analyze and transform sound to accommodate hearing loss.  You can access this AI technology using the SoundSense Learn feature which is available on the Widex Moment Smartphone App. This AI technology is available in the styles that sit behind the ear, specifically the mRIC R D and the RIC 312 D.

#4 – Tinnitus Masking

Widex hearing aids include Zen tones for tinnitus relief.  These are fractal tones that have a randomized, musical quality and they can sound similar to wind chimes.  Use of a tinnitus masker in addition to hearing aid amplification can help take your mind off of the tinnitus and make it less bothersome. Consult with an audiologist to determine if a tinnitus masker is appropriate for you.

#5 – Widex Hearing Aids Wireless Connectivity

You can stream audio directly from an iPhone to the Widex Moment hearing aid styles that sit behind the ear, specially the mRIC R D and RIC 312 D.  Enjoy your music, podcasts, videos, and phone calls while wearing your hearing aids.

If you want to stream from different Bluetooth phones and devices, the Widex moment hearing aids are compatible with the Com-Dex audio streamer that’s worn around your neck.  You also have the option of the Com-Dex remote microphone for noisy places, a remote control, and a television audio streamer.

#6 – Rechargeable Batteries

The Widex Moment hearing aid is available with a rechargeable battery in the mRIC R D style that sits behind the ear.  Widex promotes this hearing aid as the smallest rechargeable lithium ion hearing aid on the market.

#7 – Smartphone App Control

You can control Widex Moment hearing aids with the Widex Moment App.  This gives you access to custom sound tuning as well as the Artificial Intelligence feature.  The Widex Moment app is compatible with the mRIC R D and the RIC 312 D.

The RIC 10, CIC or completely in canal, and other custom molded styles can be controlled using the Widex Tonelink app.

#8 – Remote Programming

Widex moment hearing aids support remote adjustment. All you need is the Remote Link programming device which goes around your neck and the Remote Care app on your smartphone.  Your hearing healthcare provider can set this up for you so that future adjustment appointments can be completed virtually.
